Everyone can play their part in making Kew greener.

Traders can stop giving out plastic bags - or at least they can only give them out on request, and they provide information on why plastic bags are damaging to the environment.

Residents and shoppers can remember to bring a bag to the shops with them, and remind traders that they prefer not to use plastic bags. The Greener Kew fridge magnet might help to remind you and get you into the carry-your-own habit.

The media can help by publicising the campaign so that as many residents as possible are aware of what is going on.
